Parker Valby, a junior at Florida, won the women's 6-kilometer race in a course-record 18:55.2 at the NCAA Division 1 Cross Country Championships at the Panorama Farms Course in Virginia. Valby, who placed second last season, became the first Florida athlete to capture a Division 1 cross country crown, earning All-America honors for the third year in a row to help the Gators finish fifth overall as a team with 268 points.
